There are stories they tell about where they have been before they became "us".
Adventures from sea to sea;
African savannahs and towering pyramids,
explorations of some of the greatest cities in the US,
and always the companionshiop of great friends, the love of their tribe surrounding them.
Then comes a shift.
There is love.
And then there she is, bright eyes and curly hair, cooing and perfect.
She looks at the world with adventurers eyes like her parents before.
The two have become three and a family is born.
The wanderlust is settled. His wings and her roots have come together to create
"When I say I am going home, I mean I am going to where you are. "
Liz and Bryan's June wedding at Park Shore Resort on the shores of the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay was everything an intimate Traverse City wedding should be. Their First Look at the Grand Traverse Commons was perfect and such a wonderful way to begin their day...together! Liz's perfectly fitted wedding gown was complimented by the heirloom veil she wore. She is the 19th bride in her family to wear it since a family member brought it home from Europe in 1966! The veil and dress went so perfectly together and the dark haired beauty looked stunning.
The gorgeous florals by Amy Kate Designs were the perfect compliment to the beach setting and the vivid pastel hues popped perfectly with the white of the Park Shore event tent. The wedding ceremony was performed by the brides father and step-mother, both judges and thrilled to play a part in bringing these two together. Family and friends looked on as they said their vows and pledged a lifetime together. There were so many heartfelt moments but one of my favorites was when the couples daughter Lucy teetered down the aisle as they said their I-do's! You couldn't plan a more adorable picture!
After dinner and toasts that had us all smiling, the newlyweds cut the amazing cake by Nancy of Top Tier Cakery and hit the dance floor to tunes by Chris Sterr Music. The music was a little funky and a whole lot of fun and you could tell right away that Bryan was so happy to be celebrating with all his favorite people. As their wedding day melted into the Traverse City night, there were clusters of friends laughing and sharing shories, toasting the newly married couple and dancing into the evening. Congratulations Liz & Bryan! May your marriage be even more beautiful than the wedding day!
