As Mara & Humberto stood before family and friends and took their vows of marriage, I couldn't help but think of all the unexpected moments that had brought them to this one. We are taught to make plans and work toward them but in the grand scheme of life, the moments that makes up some of the best parts of our days are unexpected.
Being 1600 miles from home and meeting the person who makes your heart beat fast and realizing that they are the one.
Barriers of distance, language and culture melting away.
A joyful marriage and start of a life together.
Planning a big fancy wedding to share this love with people important to them.
Finding out along the way that a new little person is about to become the most important of all those people.
And then there are they are, the wonderful little ways that all of this unexpected comes together to make this couple, these people, this day.
The way that Mara & Humberto look at one another.
The sweet ways that they found to incorporate his Mexican roots and traditions into their ceremony.
The heartfelt vows and outpourings of love from the people who love them most.
First dances under a glowing tangerine colored sky.
A sudden wind that filled the air with blossoms.
A soft rain that pulled people close together to celebrate into the night.
Unexpected in the best way possible.
Special thanks to the vendor team that made Mara & Humbertos day truly magical and worked their booties off without complaint on an especially warm day!
