I have to share a secret with you. When I met with Tiffany & Jordan waaaay back in August of last year, she actually expressed a concern about looking awkward in pictures. I get it, it's totally weird being the star of an entire day and having people looking at you all the time and fussing over you when all you want to do is dance with the man you love and spend a day with all of your favorite people. Add a fancy dress and veil to the mix and things can get weird real fast. Except the awkward never happened. Not once. Beautiful happened. Love happened. The perfect day happened.
Tiffany & Jordan's wedding took place at the historic Park Place Hotel in downtown Traverse City, MI on a gorgeous May day complete with blue skies and cool breezes. The weekend prior had been cold and rainy so we were especially thankful for the wonderful weather! Spring can be a little unpredictable here so the couple took advantage of the Courtyard Room for their ceremony and the stunning white drape and delicate white branches hung with crysals suited the blush and ivory wedding perfectly. After saying their vows to one another, Paster Andrew Clark of Westside Community Church led the couple along with her son Eli in a prayer over their new family. Marriage is special but when you add the creation of a new family...there were plenty of sniffles as we all shared in that moment.
After an epic first kiss and some formal family pictures, the wedding party headed over to The Village at Grand Traverse Commons to take advantage of the restored architecture and beautiful day. We were lucky to bump into an important resident of the building who shared access to one of the gorgeous porches. I love those white, classic porches and the images we took there are some of my favorites...thank you Marsha!
We headed back to the hotel, this time to the Top of The Park with sweeping views of Traverse City and Grand Traverse Bay where sweet toasts were spoken, delicious dinner and cake shared, dances danced and 100's of hugs and handshakes exchanged. It was so fun to see everyone cutting it up on the dance floor and relaxing as the evening progressed. I adore the last few images of Tiff & Jordan snuggled up in the corner as all the love and celebration swirled around them. To me, this feels like them. Like the whole world is wonderful and they love being part of it but that the really important moments are these...the ones spent in each others arms.
